To put it simply: Tara was amazing! She was incredibly professional and she did a great job on hair and makeup. She was very receptive to what I wanted (especially with the hair) and the end result was better than I had imagined. The fact that Tara came to me the morning of the wedding took out a lot of stress from the day - I didn’t have to go anywhere or worry about timing, she made sure we had enough time to get everything done. Tara from Fairytale did a great job for a very reasonable price, considering that she comes to you. My wedding was in a somewhat remote location in Malibu and she came to do my bridal party's hair and my hair and makeup on site. It was a huge relief knowing that we could get everything done all together and not have to travel anywhere afterward. We all looked and felt beautiful that day thanks to Tara!

I am a contestant in the 6th Annual Miss Malibu beauty pageant and each girl has to do a photoshoot prior to the contest. The photoshoot was totally last minute and Tara Fontana (founder/hair stylist/makeup) was AMAZING. Not only did she come out to do my hair and makeup when I gave her such short notice (within 24 hours!), but she was very attentive and asked what look I was aiming for and nailed it! My hair and makeup were beyond perfect- my curls even withstood the ocean wind for the photoshoot! I couldn't be happier with the results (my photos)! Thank you so much Tara for making me look and feel beautiful!!

Tara did an absolutely amazing job on my and my daughters' hair for my wedding. She was the utmost professional and by the time she was done doing our hair and my makeup, I felt like I had made a new friend! She's awesome and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting and expecting a professional styling.

I'm so glad to have been refered to Fairytale Hair & MakeUp. I was very nervous at first having someone new style & cut my hair. I've been going to the same person my whole life to get my hair cut because she is a family friend & was never excited about how she would cut my hair. I sent Fairytale Hair & Makeup an email & Tara got back to me in less than an hour & was over the following week to cut & style my hair. She had an amazing personality & was all about what I wanted to do with my hair. I was so excited after Tara was done with my hair. In the past my hair would never curl. The curls would fall out within an hour & my hair would just look like a Big POOF. Now when I curl my hair its amazing that they stay ALL day now!!

Tara was fantastic. Very professional, great personality and definitely the right person for the job! She was very easy to communicate with via phone and e-mail...very prompt. The trial session answered a lot of my questions and helped me to prepare for what to expect on my big day. It was a big plus that she traveled to my wedding site. I liked being able to prepare without having to drive to a salon filled with other clients.

The hair and makeup for my wedding was exactly what I had pictured. I felt beautiful and relaxed all day.

Tara, the owner did my hair AND makeup and also my 4 bridesmaids, OH and my moms makeup when she asked last minute. She was great! since our wedding was so early she arrived at 5 30 to do all 5 girls, Tara and Rich (her assistant) were full of energy and it was very refreshing to all of us who were all tired. I told her what i was thinking of for my hair and my maid of honor and basically what i wanted for my bridesmaids and she did it exactly how I imagined, we all got compliments all night long on how good we looked and how great our hair and makeup was done. We all had a great time getting made up they were so funny and got us all in a good happy mood before my wedding, it really was like your best friend doing your hair and makeup just talking and laughing. I would HIGHLY recommend her, she made us all look and feel great, i wish all brides can be as happy as i was with fairytale hair and makeup because i will never forget how great of an experience i had (and believe me it wasn't like that with every vendor)

Tara and her assistant had four hours to do hair and make-up for me (the bride) 4 bridesmaids, the Matron of Honor, 1 flower girl, Mother of the Bride and Grandmother of the Groom. That's 9, count 'em, 9 ladies. Three of my ladies in waiting showed up late AND with wet hair, DESPITE being told not to wash thier hair in the morning or the night before. Tara was unfazed by the challenges and had that dressing room running like a well oiled machine. She had great advice and ideas and made everyone GORGEOUS! Fairytale Hair and Make Up is the perfect name for Tara and crew. She made me feel like a princess!

I recently used Fairytale Hair and Makeup for my fairytale wedding at the Disneyland Hotel. From the moment I first contacted Tara she was sweet, friendly, and extremely helpful. Her knowledge and experience of hair/makeup for weddings was unmatched. Tara came to my house to perform my hair and makeup trial. She helped me, my mom, and all my bridesmaids select perfect hairstyles for my big day.
